Bogus certificates: Case filed against former Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

The Central Chairman, Communist Party of Pakistan, Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik contested the General Election of National Assembly against the former Federal Minister of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Ghulam Sarwar Khan in year 2002 from Wah-Taxila but lost.

However, he challenged his election on fake degree in Punjab Election Tribunal and in Supreme Court of Pakistan and after long proceedings; ultimately our party Chairman point concerning his fake diploma and degree stands established and now a case has been registered against Ghulam Sarwar Khan and four other officials of the Punjab Board of Technical Education for preparing bogus educational certificates for Mr. Khan.  Here is the full extract of news, which is as under:-

RAWALPINDI – The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Rawalpindi Region has filed a case against the former Federal Minister of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Ghulam Sarwar Khan and three other officials of the Punjab Board of Technical Education for preparing bogus educational certificates.

The other four accused in the case number 67/12 registered on October 18, 2012 included Punjab Board of Technical Education Chairman Col (retd) Baig, Assistant Secretary Mian Muhammad Shafique, and Superintendent Certificate Abdullah Niaz Ahmed.

Earlier, Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench Justice Sheikh Najam-ul-Hassan had granted a stay order in the petition filed by Ghulam Sarwar. On Friday the court did not extend the interim order after which ACE Rawalpindi Region penned in a case number. According to sources, ACE officials started conducting raids to nab the accused.

Talking to The Nation, Sarwar confirmed the registration of a case against him. However, he was not involved in any such activity. Commenting on the step of ACE, he said that under the law if any adjournment was made, the stay order got automatically extended and the investigation body could not register a case against any one.
