Communist Party policy statement on Baluchistan crisis.

CPP favours class struggle but struggle in Baluchistan is for terrorism says Engr. Jameel

It is war between fundamentalists, separatists, agencies and tribal chiefs says CPP

Baluchistan solution lies in abandoning the sardari and tribal systems says CPP

Perks and privileges given to tribal chiefs must be withdrawn – Engineer Jameel

Tribal and sardari system in Baluchistan is mother of all ills in the province.

(ATTOCK – February 28, 2013)       Communist Party of Pakistan’s (CPP) central chairman Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik said that CPP strongly condemns the brutal killings of innocent Hazaras in twin deadly suicidal blasts in Quetta and consoles with the families of martyred. He said that our party cannot tolerate any form of terrorism either it is religious, ethnic or lingual.

CPP also has demanded the government before this many times to take the Baluchistan issue seriously, but it did not pay any heed to it which resulted in loss of a lot innocent lives. CPP is not so hopped that federal and Baluchistan government can solve the problems, even governor rule has not improved the crisis of Baluchistan.

Engineer Jameel further said that CPP afraid if new coming government could not solve the Baluchistan issue, it would strengthen the separation movements, so the CPP thinks that Baluchistan problems solution lies in abandoning the sardari and tribal systems. All the perks and privileges given to tribal chiefs must be withdrawn and Baluchs be provided with employments now.

CPP fear must be recorded that unless government takes radical steps the problem would become more complex. In our CPP opinion, the tribal and sardari system in Baluchistan is mother of all ills in the province. We respect all people irrespective of their religion and the school of thought to which they belonged. We favour the state resources on equal basis so the distribution of that to narrow the rich poor divides.

CPP is in the favour of class struggle for achieving the rights of the downtrodden masses but the so-called struggle in Baluchistan has nothing to do with the average person problems. It is a war between religious fundamentalists, separatists, government agencies and tribal chiefs to make more and more benefits and perks for their personal benefits.
