An Abdalian and a Bravo son of Attock soil! Capt Isfandyar would be remembered for ever for his bravery says the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP).

(ATTOCK – PR – September 18, 2015)       Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) and its Chairman Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik strongly condemned the Taliban attack on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in Badaber Peshawar in which 29 armed forces personnel including three junior technicians Shan Ali, Saqib Javaid and Tariq Abbass were martyred and several were injured. However, it is a sign of relief that all the 13 terrorists were also killed, this was stated in a press release issued here today.

Captain Syed Isfandyar Ahmed Bokhari, who was martyred in the PAF Camp Badaber operation earlier today in the morning, was an Abdalian and the brave son of the soil of Attock.

Chairman CPP Engineer Jameel, who is also an Abdalian and Attockonian paid a very high tributes to another Abdalian and Attockonian Capt Isfandyar, though he said that he is personally too much grieved on the ‘Shahdat’ of Asfandyar and all others.

Communist Party said that Captain Asfandyar Bukhari was a brave, valiant and down to earth and Asfandyar embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly and leading his troops from the front. He was part of Quick Response Force.

After doing his FSc from the Cadet College Hasan Abdal, he joined the Pakistan Army. He was the eldest son of a well known Dr. Fayyaz Bukhari and real nephew of Dr. Tanvir Gilani of Attock.

Asfandyar was awarded “Sword of Honour” after the completion of his training at Kakul in October 2008 and was awarded Tactics Medal as well.

He was passed out from PMA-118 long course. Asfandyar was a brilliant cadet and was awarded many awards during his cadet-ship in Cadet College, Hasan Abdal.

He also played Hockey for Punjab’s under-19 team. He remained vice captain of his college hockey team. He was chess champion at college, president of the biology club, editor of the college magazine and remained member of the board of editors for five years.

He was also wing commander of 48th Jinnah Wing Entry.

Engineer Jameel said that Asfandyar was true patriot and a person with immense passion and love for his Country.

CPP and Engineer Jameel expressed deep concern and sympathy with the families of Captain Asfandyar and all others who were martyred and injured in the attack.

It is said by ISPR that a group of gunmen wearing explosives-laden jackets and armed with hand-propelled grenades, mortars, AK-47 rifles attacked a guard post as they tried to fight their way into the Badaber air base on outskirts of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province but the Pakistan Army commandos and personnel of the Pakistan Air Force and Quick Reaction Force (QRF) battled the attackers and killed all 13 terrorists of Taliban.

Engineer Jameel said that the Badaber air base is not functional and mostly being used as a residential place for the employees and officers of the air force. Peshawar has frequently been targeted by the terrorist. In December 2014, more than 150 people, mostly children were martyred when Taliban gunmen attacked an army-run school.
