Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) and its Chairman Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik strongly criticized and condemned the facts distorted in the book titled ‘Surkh Salam’ authored by Professor Kamran Asdar Ali which detail was Published in Dawn, January 2nd, 2016 and reported as ‘Book on communist politics in Pakistan launched’ and the link is http://www.dawn.com/news/1230141/book-on-communist-politics-in-pakistan-launched
Interestingly all the speakers like Director of Pakistan Study Centre, the University of Karachi, Dr. Syed Jaffer Ahmed, Dr. Asif Farrukhi, who moderated the event, journalist Imran Aslam, Hoori Noorani and Piler’s Karamat Ali has nothing concern with the Marxism and nor anyone of them remained members of the Communist Party of Pakistan.
In Pakistan, where even the democratic institutions has not yet been built up till today since independence and where to say the major failure of the communist movement in Pakistan was that Marxism was taken as an engineering manual instead of science by the Communist party of Pakistan is not only distorted and wrong facts but also a frivolous and malafide one.
The book was written by an American based Professor Kamran Asdar Ali of anthropology at the University of Texas, Austin who has not written the book ‘Surkh Salam’ with positive intentions. What are the real motives behind this book, we would soon disclose with all facts in near future.
For the time being, we are making only one comment that if Muslim speaks about Hindu or Hindu speaks about Muslim, would anyone believes it as correct. Similarly, the non-Marxists if they are talking about Marxism then how can a communist or Marxist believes its truthiness. The Communist Party of Pakistan fully understand the real motives of this book that how the real history of the CPP is distorted in ‘Surkh Salam’.
