There are peoples and some media persons in our country who likes Martial Law and is spreading news off and on that the next Martial Law is on the way.
Whereas the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) and its Chairman Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik is of the opinion that our Army is not now in a position to topple the existing Government of PMLN on five reasons, as under:
Firstly in present circumstances the political parties like PPP, PMLN, PTI, ANP, MQM, CPP, AWP and JI etc would not now support the Martial Law keeping in view the outcomes and results of the past Martial Laws. The result of Martial Law cannot be achieved by Army with the help of smaller parties.
Secondly – The outlook of the world has now changed after the failure of Army coup in Turkey and this aspect also have an impact and message for our Army not to go for any adventures in Pakistan now.
Thirdly – The Army has now seen much humiliation of their Ex-COAS General Pervaz Musharraf, who subverted the Constitution and has no place now to live in Pakistan and due to fear of sentence in the High Treason case, he ran away from Pakistan. His property has been confiscated and declared absconder. What else can be more humiliation for a General like him when his property is confiscated and he be declared absconder like criminals? This all happened because he twice abrogated and subverted the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973.
Fourthly – The Superior Judiciary would not validate any Martial law in future now after the 20th Amendments in Constitution of Pakistan, 1973 and its famous judgment in PCO Judges by Full Court of Supreme Court concerning the validation of the Martial Law. Martial Law is only successful if it is validated by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
And lastly the fifth reasons is that the Army under the control and command of the present COAS General Raheel Sharif is totally now non political and doing their processional duties in an excellent manner. The Army under his leadership has brought peace across all over the country by fighting vigorously against the religious terrorists through the operation Zarb-e-Azb.
No doubt, General Raheel has earned a good name for our Army now and we don’t think that the Army under his command and leadership would do the mistake again and would impose Martial Law and subverts the Constitution this time says the Communist Party and its Chairman Engineer Jameel.
